FC Schalke 04 can continue to rely on the services of Pierre-Michel Lasogga (32), Felix Allgaier (21), Yannick Tonye (19) and Julius Paris (22) in the U23. As the Royal Blues announced on Wednesday, veteran striker Lasogga, midfielder Allgaier, right winger Tonye and goalkeeper Paris will remain with the Regionalliga West team beyond the summer.
“I am very happy about the four extensions. They show the different careers in a U23,” explained coach Jakob Fimpel. “Pierre-Michel Lasogga is one of our experienced players who will also be very important for our axis in the coming season.” The ex-HSV clipper returned to one of his former youth clubs in July 2023 after a year without a club. So far, Lasogga’s statistics include five goals and two assists in 13 games for Schalke II. In the meantime he had to take a break due to a shoulder injury.
