Dortmund-PSG: 3,800 Parisian supporters expected for the semi-final first leg in Germany

Another match will take place in the stands. Wednesday evening at Signal Iduna Park, Paris will be able to count on nearly 3,800 supporters to face Dortmund in the semi-final of the Champions League on Wednesday evening. A figure almost identical to that of the last meeting of Group G (1-1, December 13), during which the two clubs faced each other, and which can be explained by a gauge provided by the governing body of European football . Indeed, hosting clubs must make “at least 5% of the total capacity of their stadium approved by UEFA exclusively available to visiting supporters, in a separate and safe sector”.

Meeting classified as high risk by the German authorities

In the wake of the qualification against FC Barcelona (4-1, April 17), the places for this meeting in Germany were snatched up in a few minutes. Despite the prestigious level of the meeting, the BVB has decided to maintain a very accessible pricing policy. To attend the semi-final, Parisian supporters spent 18.50 euros for a place, to which are added, as always, 4 euros charged by PSG for “e-ticket” fees.

The Parisian parking lot, which is located in the North stand, is located opposite the legendary Yellow Wall. It consists of standing room at the bottom of the stand and seating at the top. “In terms of visibility and atmosphere, it’s 100 times better than in Barcelona. The yardage is at the corner post, it’s completely crazy,” summarizes Pierre who was already there last December. After a tense trip in December, the meeting was classified as high risk by German authorities. The 3,800 Parisian supporters have received strict instructions and must not use pyrotechnic devices, consume strong alcohol or wear hoods and protective gloves.
