Colts Itson Dominates in Men’s and Women’s Basketball at Universiade Regional

Colts Itson started off on the right foot in Men’s and Women’s Basketball

He started the Universiade Regional at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS), in tae kown do, TKD poomsae, fast soccer, indoor volleyball, basketball, archery and judo competitions.

The opening ceremony took place this Wednesday morning at the sports center of the UASwhere the delegations of Baja California, Sonora, Baja California Sur and Sinaloa were present.

The sports director of the UASGilberto Berrelleza Reyes was in charge of welcoming the athletes and others present at the formal event:

“We welcome all the sister delegations; rest assured that you will be well cared for and cared for. The different commissions (food, transfers, lodging, hydration, medical care) and their managers, whom I thank for their determined and valuable collaboration, have been working hard to offer them that attention”

With around 2,000 athletes, the activities will take place until April 11, where the competitors will look for the ticket to the Universiade National that will be based in 2024 in Aguascalientes.

The Universiade Regional was divided into three venues, Ciudad Obregón will host from April 12 to 14 with the sports of 3×3 basketball, baseball, karate, tennis, table tennis, beach volleyball, tochito and Handball.

From April 15 to 17, Mexicali will also have its participation in the Universiade Regional.

ITSON FEMALE COLTS TRIUMPH

The representative women’s basketball team of the Technological Institute of Sonora (Itson) started with a victory over the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) team by a score of 38-29.

Valentina Neri led the equine victory with 13 units, followed by Alexia Romo, Astrid Zubiate with 6 points each and María Valenzuela 3 units.

DOUBLE WIN FOR MEN’S ITSON COLALS

Within the men’s branch, those led by Alfonso Aleman beat the Autonomous University of the West (UAdeO) by a score of 137-54, standing out on the floor for the winners

Antonio Martínez and Rafael Menchaca who stood out with 22 and 20 units respectively. The rest of the scores were for Raúl Félix 16 points, Omar Navejas 14 points, Brayan Carrillo 14 more, Jesús Córdova 12, Patricio Icedo 9, Leonel Medina 9, Daniel Reyes 7, Rubén Pacheco 7, Mario Amavizca 4 and Emiliano Gaxiola 3.

In the afternoon game the squad beats the hosts Autonomous University of Sinaloa in double overtime by a score of 118-114.

This Thursday the team led by Alfonso Alemán is playing for the ticket to the Universiade Nacional and the rival will emerge from the match between Unison and UABC.
