Colombian Archer Sara López Secures Spot in World Games

The Colombian Sara López, one of the best exponents of Archery in the country, in the third round of the World Cup of this discipline.

After a close 146 to 145 against the Mexican Dafne Quintero, during the Archery World Cup, Sara López finished her participation in the compound bow modality.

However, due to her classification in the world ranking, the Colombian had already secured a place in the Changdú 2025 World Games.

After beating, in the second round, the Kazakh Aizhan Seidakhmetova with a score of 142 to 147 (30-30, 28-28, 28-29, 27-30 and 29-30), Sara López faced the Mexican Dafne Quintero.

The round of 16 matchup was even from start to finish, with the first round ending in a 30-point tie. Already, in the second, it was equality with a score of 59.

Sara was ahead in the third round by one point (88-89), however, the next one ended up being the final one with two points ahead for the Mexican (117-116).

While the fifth round left a tie at 29 points and a final result of 146 to 145.

So then, the queen of Colombian Archery is insured for the World Games that will take place in Chengdu, China, from August 7 to 17, 2025.
