Alps Tour: Gamper only beaten by Solist de Marchi

Patrick Gamper finished the second stage of the Tour of the Alps in second place. On Tuesday, after the longest section of this year’s five-day tour over 190 km from Salurn (South Tyrol) to Stans, the Tyrolean from the German Bora team ranked 1:20 minutes behind the solo leader Italian Alessandro de Marchi. Gregor Mühlberger (Movistar) crossed the finish line in fourth place.

The Norwegian Tobias Foss from the Ineos team remains the overall leader, Gamper appears to be 52nd in the interim ranking, more than eight minutes behind. On Wednesday there is a stage with start and finish in Schwaz over 124.8 km on the program.
