In the third game on Friday evening, Lillard sustained an injury to his left leg while driving to the basket in the opening quarter. He fell heavily and appeared to harm his knee. Lillard was brought to the locker room for evaluation, but was able to return to the game in the following quarter.

Before the playoffs, the Bucks were already dealing with injuries, including Giannis Antetokounmpo’s calf injury. Khris Middleton’s ankle injury put his availability for Game 3 in question, but he ended up scoring 42 points and hitting two game-tying 3-pointers.

According to Charania, Lillard has been playing through a significant amount of discomfort in his Achilles over the past few weeks.

After the match, coach Doc Rivers of the Bucks informed the media that Lillard did not hurt his knee, but instead his Achilles.
In his three playoff games with Milwaukee, Lillard had an average of 32.3 points and 5.3 assists, with a 44% 3-point shooting percentage.

Without both Lillard and Antetokounmpo, the likelihood of Milwaukee overcoming a 2-1 series disadvantage seems to be significantly diminished. And even if the Bucks were able to come out victorious, it’s uncertain how successful they could be without these two essential players who elevated them to the status of an NBA title contender.
