Wolff does not expect Red Bull to implode

The tensions within the Red Bull Racing team continue to concern people. It is now clear that there is internal mess. The competition is following the matter closely, but Toto Wolff does not think that Red Bull will implode quickly.

The riot surrounding team boss Christian Horner caused many headlines last month. Horner was acquitted by Red Bull of inappropriate behavior, but that was not the end of the matter. Jos Verstappen responded critically to Horner and Helmut Marko suggested that he might be suspended. This in turn led to rumors about a possible departure of Max Verstappen to Mercedes.

Mercedes is closely monitoring the tense situation at Red Bull. However, team boss Toto Wolff does not expect Red Bull to let things implode. Speaking to the international media, Wolff states that Red Bull is not pressing the self-destruct button: “At the moment it doesn’t look like they are going to press that button, because they are crossing the line first and second with a huge lead. These things can cause a delay, but I think we have to focus on ourselves. What we have to do is give our drivers the best car possible because it is not our drivers who are the problem.”
