And again, speaking about what it was like to date another protagonist of the star system, he confessed: “I felt that I always had to deal with the public’s opinion and their opinion of me.” The singer-actress did not specify whether she was referring to a particular episode, but many are reminded of the controversy that broke out last year when, interviewed for the film Elvis, Butler spoke about how he got the role in the film Baz Luhrmann, without giving, according to public opinion, due credit to Vanessa Hudgens, who at the time urged him to audition: Austin told the story referring to his ex-girlfriend as a simple “friend”, without specifying who is.
