Top Women’s Singles BWF Ranking Predictions Post All England Open 2024: Gregoria Mariska Drops from Top 7

SPORTAINMENT– Check out the latest BWF ranking predictions for the women’s singles sector after the All England Open 2024. Gregoria Mariska dropped from the top 7.

It is known that Gregoria Mariska or who is familiarly called Jorji is the only women’s singles player in the BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament.

His journey in this tournament had to end in the quarter-finals. Jorji lost to Akane Yamaguchi with a tight score, 10-21, 22-20, 18-21. It was held in Brimingham, England, on Friday, March 15, 2024.

This defeat caused his ranking in the latest BWF release, Tuesday, March 19 2024, to drop from the top 7. Several Chinese players under him actually pushed up.

Previously, Jorji was ranked 7th in the world with a total of 72,800 points. His loss in the quarterfinals saw his points drop by almost 5,000.

Even though in the end he is no longer ranked 7th in the BWF, Jorji is certain to remain number 1 in men’s singles in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, BWF ranking 1 is currently still dominated by South Korean women’s singles, An Se Young. In second place, Chen Yufei from China has not moved from her position.
