The League has decided to perpetuate the location of the Pro D2 final: until 2027, it will take place at the Ernest-Wallon stadium in Toulouse. The next one will be held on June 8 at 5:30 p.m., the winner will go directly to the Top 14, the loser will play a play-off against the 13th in the Top 14.
The decision taken by the LNR steering committee “is part of the logic of installing the Pro D2 final as a premium event, by organizing it in the same stadium over time to deploy an ambitious and creative development strategy of value for Pro D2,” explains the LNR in its press release. The choice fell on Toulouse because of the geographical location of the city, the density of the population interested in rugby and its “very strong rugby culture”, according to the LNR.
