Argentina was vastly superior to its rival, from the hierarchy of the squad to the game it proposed, which allowed it to create dangerous situations with ease and could have left with a larger result if it had not been for the lack of effectiveness.
The team passed the test of playing without the presence of Lionel Messi, leaving very good feelings in terms of football. Giovani Lo Celso was one of the figures of commitment, within a team that showed many high points. On the opposite side, El Salvador tried to resist as long as possible, but the power of the world champion prevailed on the scoreboard. Goalkeeper Mario González prevented the difference from becoming larger.
Lionel Scaloni’s team will play again on Tuesday from 11:50 p.m. against Costa Rica at the United Airlines Field at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles.
