Horror confession from German tennis hope Eva Lys! The 22-year-old has now revealed on Instagram why she keeps spontaneously canceling tournaments.

In 2020, Lys was diagnosed with an autoimmune rheumatic disease (spondyloarthritis). “This is a physical challenge that I have to face every day in addition to the physical strain,” said the Hamburg native.

Thanks to the “great support and treatment” of her medical team, the world number 146 could. but still pursue her “sporting dream and get the best out of myself.
