The Tennesse Titans have made another large off-season splash by reportedly acquiring star cornerback L’Jarius Sneed from the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter was first to report the agreement, which will include a new contract for Sneed that makes him among the highest-paid players at his position.

The Chiefs will receive a third-round pick in 2025 in return. The clubs will also swap 2024 seventh-round picks.

The agreement is pending a physical.

Though Sneed hasn’t received a Pro-Bowl selection, he is widely regarded as one of the best cover corners in the NFL.

The 27-year-old did not surrender a single touchdown to his primary coverage assignment during the 2023 season. He also came up with two interceptions and recorded 14 pass deflections.

His most notable play of the Chiefs’ 2023 Super Bowl season came in the AFC Championship Game when he forced a fumble from Baltimore Ravens rookie receiver Zay Flowers at Kansas City’s one-yard line.

Sneed has amassed 10 interceptions, four forced fumbles and 40 pass deflections during his four-year career.

Sneed was drafted by the Chiefs in the fourth round (138th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.
