Survival Secured: Plestin Badminton Club Secures Spot in Mixed D2 Interclubs for Next Season

This Sunday took place the last day of mixed D2 interclubs for Plestin Badminton, in the Marcel-Hamon room in Plestin les Grèves.

“A high-stakes day since the competitors were aiming to maintain their position,” underlines Antoine Courtay, player and president of the Plestin club. After a first meeting in the morning against the Plérin team won with a score of 7 to 1, the hardest part remained to be done in the afternoon against Trégor Badminton to ensure survival.

It was at the end of the suspense and after the rupture of the Achilles tendon of a player from Plestin in the first match of the match that the team finally won the match with a score of 5-3. “Two victories in a row which will allow the players to continue in D2 next season”, specifies the president happy and satisfied with the turn of events. It was essential for our club and for the players to maintain themselves at this level.

The club, which has around twenty young people and around thirty adults, does not lack ambitions, displays great dynamism and will be present for the Olympics on April 27.
