Roland-Garros: Disgusted by Nadal, he makes a shocking revelation

Rafael Nadal has been battling injuries for many years. The Spaniard sometimes even resorted to injections to be able to play without pain. This was particularly the case in 2022, in the final of Roland-Garros, when he faced Casper Ruud. The Norwegian also declared that the day after the final, the Mallorcan had to travel on crutches, not even being able to walk.
Monday May 20 will mark the return of Roland-Garros. The Parisian tournament is a Grand Slam, and therefore an important meeting for all the biggest players on the planet. The 2024 edition could unfortunately be marked by the absence of Rafael Nadal, titled fourteen times in the French capital.
Nadal is still physically embarrassed
The short-term future of Rafael Nadal is still unclear. The Spaniard strongly hopes to be able to be in condition to participate in Roland-Garros, but a fear remains. Indeed, the Mallorcan is still bothered by repeated injuries. In particular, he has had to give up two tournaments since his return. He has declared that he wants to preserve himself for the clay court season, but there is nothing to indicate that a new injury will not deprive him of the Grand Slam Parisian.

To try to participate in Roland-Garros, Rafael Nadal might be tempted to resort to a medical procedure. During the final of the Parisian major in 2022, the Spaniard had evolved under pressure, in order to be able to play his final against Casper Ruud. The Norwegian also declared that the day after the final, he had seen the Majorcan in a pitiful state. His comments are reported by We Love Tennis. “I faced him in the final when he couldn’t even walk because his foot was anesthetized, it was crazy. The day before, I told myself, as everyone knew he was injured, that maybe this was the year or never for someone to beat him. In the semi‐finals, he had a very difficult match with Zverev, they played for three hours and did not even finish the second set (following the German’s injury and withdrawal). If it had been a little longer, who knows? I saw him the day after the final and he was on crutches, he couldn’t even walk. »
