The Salamanca City Council has terminated the contract with the current company providing the Sports Promotion School Service, when he finds himself in a unfavorable economic situation for the maintenance of the municipal program. This decision has been adopted to guarantee the continuity of the service until the end of the 2023-2024 academic year, according to municipal sources in a press release.
In this way, from April 9tha new company will be in charge of providing this service, which is carried out during non-school hours both in the schools of the capital of Salamanca and in the municipal sports facilities.
The Sports Promotion Schools are one of the Salamanca City Council’s commitments to promoting sports among the city’s school population and this season they have a budget of 290,915 euros.
This program is taught through two way: the first, from the schools creating groups or, through the own offer offered by the Salamanca City Council in different sports facilities and modalities such as, for example, tennis, badminton, volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, skating and tennis. table.
