On the occasion of World Down Syndrome Daywhich is celebrated every 21 Marchthe Roma gave the boys of the “Locanda dei Girasoli” an unforgettable extra-program. A group of guys who have been collaborating with the Giallorossi club for some time, working in the catering service of the hospitality areas at the Olimpico and representing a model of inclusion e di valorisation of people with Down syndrome, and who today, in Trigoria, had the opportunity to take care of the meals of the Roma players at the end of the training.
The idea of the “Locanda dei Girasoli”
The “Locanda dei Girasoli” project has the general objective of promote job placement of people with Down syndrome, ennobling and giving dignity to the person through an individual path, training and job placement. Thus was born the idea of the catering service, with which it is combined the love of cooking of many boys withsocial and work inclusion of young people with Down syndrome, Williams syndrome and other cognitive disabilities. And on the occasion of “World Down Syndrome Day” Roma wanted to transform everything into something even more special.
