Over the last year the Municipality of Russi has completed a series of interventions in the city’s sports facilities. These are ordinary and extraordinary maintenance works, in many cases made necessary to bring the structures back to full efficiency after last May’s flood.
In particular, it Russi’s “Bruno Bucci” stadium in May 2023 it was affected by the flood due to the breaking of the Lamone river near the town of Reda. To restore the functionality of the facility, as well as to improve some existing problems, important interventions were carried out on the sports infrastructures, as well as in the service spaces around the perimeter of these structures. For a total investment of 17,934 euros, the athletics track was arranged around the main football field and, with a pressure hydro-washing operation, the surface of the track was cleaned of dirt and debris. Repairs were then carried out on the damaged sections of the track, to ensure the presence of a uniform and safe surface for activities. Another intervention carried out in the same plant, for a value of 21,284.40 euros, was assigned to the ICEP company. One of the main aspects of this intervention concerned the refunctionalization of many elements that had become damaged due to the flood, with interventions to arrange infiltrations, external flooring, perimeter fences, etc.
Important interventions were also carried out to arrange the systems (electrical, hydro-thermal) to which were added further various and unexpected works that emerged during the course of the works to guarantee the arrangement and restyling of the sports facility itself.
Even in football field in Via G. Pascoli (Ghigi) important interventions have been carried out. In parallel, an investment of 13,420 euros was allocated to the lighting arrangement, by the company LUXCO. The completed works include the installation and replacement of lamps and lights in the main pitch, which now has an efficient and reliable lighting system, essential for evening and night-time training and matches, plus other electrical interventions. Furthermore, at the sports facility, the safety and renovation of part of the changing rooms was recently carried out through a grant of 25,000 euros in favor of the Pezzi di Russi company. This intervention of complete replacement of the finishes (flooring and covering) also saw the collaboration of other private companies who sponsored the renovation of the hydro-thermal and sanitary electrical systems.
In the Sports Hall Various interventions have recently been carried out aimed at improving the functioning of the generator following the flood, thus ensuring greater reliability and safety of the activities carried out on site. These works, entrusted to the Futurauto company, required a total investment of 14,640 euros. The operations carried out involved various phases, in order to ensure optimal functioning of the generator.
The renovation of the Godo football field required the commitment of several companies specialized in the sector. In particular, the Olimpia company played a fundamental role in replacing the benches for a total of 9,760 euros. This intervention involved several operational phases, including the leveling of the ground and the creation of adequate bases to accommodate the new benches. Also in this system, some lamps for night-time lighting of the system were installed, replaced and integrated. A device aimed at compartmentalizing the individual sports areas (main field and training field) has also been inserted, with the aim of guaranteeing savings in electricity consumption. This intervention entailed a total expense of 8,540 euros.
In the common changing rooms between the baseball and football sports activities, the plumbing systems were renovated, with the replacement of valves and taps, by Nuova Olp, for an amount of 2,440 euros. For the Godo baseball field, a specific intervention plan was necessary, given the numerous areas involved. Firstly, the layout of the playing field was carried out, a fundamental intervention to ensure a suitable and safe surface for sporting activities. This work, entrusted to the Cremonini company, involved an investment of 9,760 euros for the supply of red earth. In addition, to further optimize the conditions of the pitch, it was necessary to process it in order to guarantee its best practicability. This work, managed by the Adriatica Tennis company, cost 12,462.30 euros. In parallel, in order to guarantee continuous and reliable operation of the baseball field, the installation of the uninterruptible power supply was carried out. This intervention, essential to avoid any interruptions and guarantee the safety of users, required an investment of 15,000 euros. In summary, all of these interventions have made it possible to significantly improve the conditions and performance of the Godo baseball field, ensuring a suitable and safe environment for carrying out sporting activities.
Further sums are currently being awarded for activities related to the flood event, with a total amount of 72,436.92 euros. These resources are intended for interventions aimed at mitigating the damage caused by the flood and restoring the affected areas.
