The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres finished their two-game series in the Seoul Series that ended 1-1 for both teams with plenty of hits and several hits.

The first game was marked by little offensive production, but in the second game more than 25 runs were scored between the two teams.

Both the Dodgers and the Padres will return to the United States for the start of the season in the United States on March 28.

In these two matches, several marks were established both with the bat and in pitching:

Mookie Betts, un campocorto slugger

Mookie Betts had a great series in Seoul after he went 6-for-9, 1 home run, 7 RBIs, 2 runs scored and a 1.838 OPS.

In his second game as shortstop for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Betts tied the second mark for most RBIs by a shortstop in the franchise.

Mookie tied Corey Seager, Don Zimmer, Pee Wee Reese and Lonny Frey. The record belongs to Glenn Wright in 1930.

Additionally, Betts set the mark for the first home run in Major League history in South Korea.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, bittersweet debut in the Seoul Series

Yoshinobu Yamamoto did not make it past the first inning after allowing five runs and taking the loss. But he became the sixth pitcher to make his major league debut in the first or second start of the season.

Hyun Jin Ryu, Hank Behrman, Nap Rucker, Henry Schmidt and Gene McCann did it. The last to do so was Ryu in the 2013 season.

San Diego Padres exploded on offense

The San Diego Padres scored 15 runs and had 17 hits, something they had not achieved since April 29, 2023.

This was the first time in history that the Padres managed to score 15 or more runs against the Dodgers.

Additionally, the Dodgers had not lost a game in which they scored 10 or more runs since the 1999 season.
