Québec’s Édouard Julien Shines with Home Run in Twins’ Victory

Quebecer Édouard Julien continued his good preparatory camp as he hit a home run in a 7-1 victory for the Minnesota Twins against the Boston Red Sox.

Julien jumped on starter Cooper Criswell’s third pitch in the third inning to put three runs on the board. This is the second circuit for Julien in this camp.

The player from Quebec City has a batting average of .421 in 19 at-bat appearances in this spring camp. He has produced five runs so far.

During his first season in major league baseball, Julien hit 16 long balls in addition to stealing the starting job at second base from Jorge Polanco.

Abraham Toro, for his part, hit a single before being removed during a stolen base in the sixth inning in a 12-5 domination of his Athletics against the Los Angeles Angels.

The Angels also sent another part of their squad to face the Chicago Cubs, who also beat them 6-5. Charles Leblanc entered the game in the sixth inning replacing Miguel Sanó and was unable to reach the trails in his only at-bat.
