Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Tackle Fletcher Cox Retires After 12 Seasons

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox announced his retirement on Sunday after a 12-season career dotted with six Pro Bowl invitations.

A first-round selection in the 2012 NFL Draft, Cox played his entire career with the Pennsylvania club and holds the team record with 70 sacks by a defensive tackle. He made one less than Reggie White, Trent Cole, Clyde Simmons and Brandon Graham.

Cox is the second Eagles player to hang up his cleats in six days after center Jason Kelce.
