Petrák returned from injury and scored from the first touch with the ball. I would trade a goal for a win, he confided

“It’s great that I scored straight away after such a long absence. Of course, I am very happy about that. But I would much prefer if we lead the very promising match to three points. That’s why disappointment prevails in me,” Petrák confided that he would exchange his goal for a win.

The 32-year-old all-rounder made it 2-0 for the Kangaroos immediately after coach Jaroslav Veselý sent him onto the pitch. After the corner, he jumped the highest in the Zlín penalty area and sent the ball uncompromisingly into the net after Kovařík’s center from the first touch.

“Kovy kicked it perfectly. I’ve never scored a goal so quickly after a substitution before. I’m very happy for that,” Petrák said.

At that time, things looked great with Bohemka, and probably few would bet on the fact that they would not end a long streak of matches without a win in Baťo’s city. Before the duel in Zlín, the people of Prague were not happy about a full point gain in nine league duels in a row.

“Unfortunately, it went wrong this time as well. We have to be able to win such matches in which we lead by two goals. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen the first time. We have a lot of draws, but we are still waiting for a three-point win,” Petráka says.

The turning point in the match was brought by the reduction of Ševci to 1:2, which was preceded by a questionable duel between the home team Černín and Ristovski. The people of Prague were convinced that the footballer from Zlín, after whose action Fantiš scored, had committed an illegal intervention.

“It was a foul for me,” Petrák said. “Even so, we should have secured the win,” he did not make excuses for the judges’ debatable verdict. His team then cashed in for the second time. And in the hectic finale, after a tie, both teams tried with the last remnants of their strength to win the victory for their side. “It was frantic. A lot of centers flew into our big lime. But we also had chances from which we could have decided the match,” he claimed.

Due to a serious injury he suffered last February in České Budějovice, he jumped back into the top competition after a long 391 days. “I felt pretty good on the pitch. A week ago I already played for B. So I knew how my body was doing. I managed the match in Zlín, but I realize that it was not completely one hundred percent yet. Physically and game-wise, things will get better and better,” Petrák believes.
