This morning (10am), last session for Pallacanestro Trapani, in preparation for tomorrow’s home match (PalaDespar, 6pm) against San Filippo del Mela, valid for the twenty-eighth day of the DNC championship (group I). Ariel Svoboda and Marco Mollura, both recovering from muscle injuries that have now recovered, will be among the ten players called up but will only be used if necessary or for a reduced number of minutes, with a view to gradually returning to better condition.
Against the Messina team these are the rosters called up by the Trapani Basketball coach: Giuseppe Costantino, Matias Degregori, Carlo Di Gioia, Giorgio Gentile, Gustavo Imsandt, Antonio Livera, Manuele Meschino, Marco Mollura, Ariel Svoboda, Davide Virgilio. The referee management is made up of Andrea Bernassola and Gianluca Capotorto, both from Palestrina (RM).
Manuele Meschino (coach Pallacanestro Trapani): “With great strides, we are approaching the playoffs and it is normal that in this period of the year tension rises and we need to increase our concentration. Against San Filippo del Mela, in the first leg we found a very edgy opponent, who tried to put us in difficulty with a physical game, made up of defensive pressure and combativeness. In a certain sense, we hope that tomorrow will also be a match of this type, because it would help us to enter the playoff atmosphere as soon as possible. For sure, as always we would like to honor our commitment in front of our fans, with another victory and a convincing performance.”
INITIATIVES – In the minutes before the initial tap-off, the Under 19 team of Pallacanestro Trapani will be celebrated, which recently won the regional title and placed second at the international tournament in Cesenatico.
