NFL star Juwan Johnson and his wife Chanen are growing their family!
On Saturday, the New Orleans Saints tight end, 27, and Chanen, 28, shared via a joint Instagram post that they are expecting their second baby.
The post featured a video showing the couple posing for the camera and embracing as they cradled Chanen’s baby bump. They also showed off their 8-month-old daughter, J’adore Blessing, holding her up to the camera as she sported a pink sweater that read “big sister.”
“A miracle❤️👼🏽,” Chanen wrote in the caption, adding their couple name in a hashtag: “#juandchan.”
The pair, who met as students at Penn State and tied the knot in 2020, welcomed J’adore in July 2023, and have been candid about Chanen’s struggles to get pregnant for the first time.
Shortly after J’Adore arrived last summer, Juwan wrote a candid Instagram post about their excitement over the newborn and shared why they named her “Blessing.”
“What a BLESSING! A doctor in college told [Chanen] she could never have kids. That she wouldn’t be able to. A year ago having a pair of miscarriages. But I know something and someone who is bigger than this giant. God has never lost. Not ONCE,” the athlete wrote at the time.

“This girl right here is one of a kind and I’m grateful that I call her my wife. God gave this little girl and this is a testament of unwavering faith,” he continued. “Thank you Jesus. J’adore Blessing Johnson welcome to this world princess! Daddy will alwayssss be there for you & mommy.”

Since J’adore’s birth, the two have been doting parents, and even spoke to PEOPLE about turning their experience as dog parents into having a baby in the house.
“We really jumped into the whole parenthood thing fast,” Chanen said last month. The couple’s pooches, Fitzgerald and Hendrix, joined the family in the months following their wedding. “It was amazing. It impacted our lives so much. Obviously, 2020 was a crazy year.”
“They were literally emotional support,” she added of the animals. “They bring so much joy to our lives. Now that we have a baby, she and the dogs get along well. They’re the sweetest, and it’s just the cutest little fam.”
J’Adore, whose nickname is Dori, has recently started bonding with Fitzgerald.
“Fitz is very attached to Dori, so they have their little moments, and he’ll come and lick her and play with her,” Chanen told PEOPLE.
“When she was a newborn, he would just sit there and protect her at all costs. And if someone came and walked by, he wasn’t having it,” she added.
I adore attended her first Saints game in September to cheer on her dad, and Chanen said she’s going to be hitting more big milestones soon.
“I think she’s going to walk soon, but she’s about to crawl,” Chanen shared. “She’s also really close to talking, which we’re excited about. I’m going to capture the footage of the first time she talks. There’s no way I’m going to miss that. Oh my gosh, she’s so old, it’s scary. She’s literally going to start driving soon.”
