Yesterday it was announced that the MLB had informed its teams of the end of the relationship with foreign leagues, including the LMB, NPB, KBO, CPBL to prevent irregular negotiations from being carried out with Japanese stars.

According to these sources, the goal of the memo was to prevent Major League teams from having exclusive or preferential access to players before they were available to sign with another team.

Teams will still be able to communicate, share scouting information, facilitate reasonable coaching exchanges in spring training and the MLB instructional league.
Therefore, there is no such break in the relationship between the leagues, on the contrary, they will seek to continue working together for the good of the sport.
