Marcelinho Huertas, ACB’s greatest historical assistant

Lenovo Tenerife’s Brazilian point guard Marcelinho Huertas became the top assist player in the history of the Endesa League this Sunday, a moment expected until the veteran player signed his page in the Spanish league, surpassing Pablo Laso.

After more than 30 years, the record of the former Basque player, who also marked an era as coach of Real Madrid, fell. With 2,898, Huertas rose to the top of the ACB assist classification, in the gold and black victory over Dreamland Gran Canaria (93-92).
