Local Dominance: San Juan Judokas Shine at Invitational Cup, Winning 9 Gold Medals

The judokas from San Juan asserted their status as locals by winning nine gold, eight silver and 7 bronze medals.

With a total of 987 points, the San Juan de la Maguana Judo Association was awarded first place in the traditional Invitational Cup that was held with the participation of judo delegations and clubs at the national level.

The judokas from San Juan asserted their status as locals by winning nine gold, eight silver and seven bronze medals. The tournament was held on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the San Juan de la Maguana Judo Association and had a special dedication to sensei César A. Medrano Montilla.

The second place trophy went to the Judo Association of San Pedro de Macorís, which added 414 points, the product of four gold medals, one silver and seven bronze medals.

The representation of the National District, with 412 points, achieved third place, after obtaining four first place metals, one second place and one third place medal.

Fourth place went to Monte Plata, which took a pair of gold metals, an equal amount of silver and two bronze, for a total of 222 units.

San Cristóbal was fifth, with 214 points. The people of San Cristobal won two gold medals, one silver and four bronze medals.
