Lakers Win Thrilling Double Overtime Game, Mavericks Dominate Kings: NBA Recap

The Los Angeles Lakers won a real thriller. At the Milwaukee Bucks, AD and Co. won after double overtime. Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks overwhelmed the Sacramento Kings.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Milwaukee Bucks 128:124 2OT

Without LeBron James, who had an ankle injury, the Los Angeles Lakers picked up an important away win at the Milwaukee Bucks after double overtime. In the end it was 128:124 for the men from LA.

The Lakers made up a 14-point deficit at the start of the last quarter. The man of the evening was Austin Reaves with a triple double (29 points, 14 rebounds, ten assists). The Lakers’ best thrower was Anthony Davis with 34 points and a whopping 23 rebounds.

The top performer for the Bucks, who are eleven games behind the Boston Celtics with ten games remaining, was Giannis Antetokounmpo with 29 points, 21 rebounds and eleven assists. Damien Lillard contributed 27 points.

Dallas Mavericks @ Sacramento Kings 132:96

The Sacramento Kings were run over by the Dallas Mavericks in their own stadium. The Kings lost the home game against their direct competitor by 36 points.

Luka Doncic was once again the Mavs’ top scorer with 28 points and added eleven rebounds. Kyrie Irving contributed 24 points. Maxi Kleber remained scoreless in eleven points.

The best news from a Kings perspective is the maintenance of the streak by Domantas Sabonis, who recorded his 55th double-double in a row (twelve points, eleven rebounds, nine assists). The top scorer was DeAaron Fox with just 18 points.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ New Orleans Pelicans 119:112

The Oklahoma City Thunder have maintained their chance of being the first seed in the West. On the road, OKC won 119:112 at the New Orleans Pelicans.

Jalen Williams was the most accurate with 26 points, top star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 24 points.

Zion Williamson was the best man on the Pelicans side, scoring 29 points and ten assists. The Pelicans are just two games out of the play-in spots, OKC is just half a game behind the first seed Denver Nuggets.

Golden State Warriors @ Miami Heat 113:92

The away team, the Golden State Warriors, also won in the fourth game of the evening. The Miami Heat scored a confident 113:92.

Klay Thompson was the top scorer with 28 points, Steph Curry didn’t have much of an impact on the game with 17 points. He only hit three of his ten three-pointers.

In the absence of Jimmy Butler, who was injured again, Bam Adebayo was the Heat’s best scorer, contributing 24 points. The Warriors are holding on to the last play-in spot, the Heat had to accept a setback in the fight for the direct playoff places.
