We would like to inform you that Ken Takeda, General Manager of the Yokohama B-Corsairs, has been appointed as the director and head coach of the Aoyama Gakuin University Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Club, effective February 1, 2024 (Thursday).
Mr. Takeda will continue to serve as general manager of the Yokohama B-Corsairs.

Thank you very much for your continued support and encouragement. I have recently been appointed as the director and head coach of the Aoyama Gakuin University Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Club, which is also my alma mater.
Although we are in the middle of the season, university activities for the new academic year are about to begin, so we have made this announcement at this timing. He will continue to serve as general manager of the Yokohama B-Corsairs.
Strengthening and developing young players is a concept that the Yokohama Bee Corsairs has cherished since its establishment. We are imagining a future where we will be able to strengthen the club and develop players, and further enliven the sport of basketball together with the Yokohama Bee Corsairs in various ways.
There are only 18 games left in the regular season. The tough battles continue, but the team will continue to fight with all its might in order to come back in the final stages and achieve the goals we set at the beginning of the season. Since retiring as an active player in 2021, GM Takeda, who has been responsible for strengthening and developing our club as general manager of the Yokohama B-Corsairs, has been appointed manager and head coach of the Aoyama Gakuin University Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Club, his alma mater. did. As part of his concurrent role, he will continue to serve as our club’s GM.
