The Brussels badista, 43rd in the world, was beaten by the Japanese Yushi Tanaka (BWF 50), who went through qualifying, 21-11, 21-14. The game lasted 28 minutes on Thursday in the Spanish capital.
In the first round, Carraggi got the better of Taiwanese Chi Yu Jen (BWF 38), 22-20, 21-18 in 39 minutes.
