Joey Meneses Shines in Pre-Season Game, Ready for MLB Season

After an explosive performance in the batter’s box this Tuesday, Joey Meneses has finished showing that he is completely ready for the start of the 2024 Major League Baseball (MLB) season.

The cherry and culichi first baseman went 3-for-5 with 2 CI and was a few meters away from connecting the cycle, in the 13-1 victory of the Washington Nationals against their team of prospects.

The duel took place at Nationals Park. “CabaJoey” opened the second base with a triple to right field against Jackson Rutledge.

Then, he came to the plate with the one from the pool, driven by a single from Joey Gallo.

One inning later, he made it 4-0 with a two-run double, also off Rutledge’s pitches.

In the fifth down, with two outs and no men on the bases, he hit a line hit to left field.

His last at-bat was in the seventh and ended with a deep fly to center field.

The Nationals have a day off this Wednesday and on Thursday the 28th they will visit the Reds in Cincinnati, with Josiah Gray on the mound. For the locals, Frankie Montás will launch.
