Japanese Interpreter at Los Angeles Dodgers Fired for Fraud Suspicions: Shohei Ohtani Connection Raises Questions

Shohei Ohtani’s Japanese interpreter with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Ippei Mizuhara, was fired Wednesday after suspicions of fraud.

Jeremy Filosa gives the explanations on Philippe Cantin’s microphone.

Mizuhara, a longtime friend of Ohatani, allegedly withdrew up to $4.5 million to an illegal betting site in California.

“Mizuhara indicates that he never stole money from Otani, directly, but that the latter had agreed to pay his betting debts via this transfer. But there it is certain that doubt sets in. Because we ask ourselves questions. Did Otani himself bet on sports? Did he bet on baseball?”, underlines Jeremy Filosa.
