Gold, silver and bronze for Italy in Riga, on the first day of the Senior European Cup which saw the participation of 316 athletes from 26 nations.
At the end of an all-Italian final, in the 48 kg category Giulia Ghiglione took first place with four victories and Giulia Giorgi took second place, while with a great race in the 73 kg category Samuel Salvo took third place with five victories.

Three medals for Italy in the Porec Cadet European Cup (558 athletes, 23 nations) and those were won by Roberta Zedda second in the 48 kg, then Thomas Palillo third in the 60 kg and Aurora Ferro third in the 40 kg.

Judo Bergamo, on the other hand, won first place in the club rankings in Leinì, on the day of the Italian A2 junior championships reserved for the men’s categories with 307 athletes competing.
With one gold and two bronze medals, the Orobic club scored 22 points, ahead of Judo Kuroki Tarcento in the standings which, with two silver medals and 16 points, overtook seven clubs with a gold medal. Third place for Kumiai Druento with 14.
Sunday is the turn of the women’s categories which will see 116 athletes competing.
