The National Police will expand the search for Javier Márquez, who disappeared 11 days ago in Logroño, to the area around the Ebro River in Zaragoza and Tudela, as explained this Tuesday by the spokesperson for the Higher Headquarters of La Rioja, Olga Fernández Maeztu. On March 2, trace of the young 20-year-old judoka was lost in the area near the Ebro, and since then a search operation has been maintained.
Much of the operation has focused on the Ebro River bed, where divers from the National Police have worked, in the Logroño section; and the Civil Guard, outside the municipal area of the capital of Rioja, towards Zaragoza, with support from drones, helicopters, agents on foot and dogs expert in finding people. In addition, there is also the help of dozens of volunteers, many of them from the Riojan city of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, where his family resides.
