Instituto Faces Tough National Basketball League Tour with Key Players in Doubt

Instituto has a complicated tour coming up in the National Basketball League. A start against three tough rivals in their goal of climbing one step in the standings, to second place. The team led by Lucas Victoriano will visit Obras on Saturday, at 9:15 p.m.; on Monday, April 1 to San Lorenzo (from 9 p.m.) and on Wednesday, April 3, at the same time, to Gimnasia y Esgrima de Comodoro Rivadavia.

And the Alta Córdoba club presents two doubts for these commitments.

On the one hand, captain Leandro Vildoza, who suffered a sprained ankle in the third quarter of the game that he beat Riachuelo de La Rioja 94-72 on Monday. On the other hand, the American power forward Bryan Jefferson, absent against the Riojans due to dengue infection.

The Institute reported that Vildoza “suffered an entorsis in his right ankle, without bone injury.” Depending on his evolution, “his return” to the courts will be determined.

Regarding Jefferson, he said that it is “a febrile syndrome compatible with dengue.”

From La Gloria it has not yet been reported whether the players will take part in the tour to the City of Buenos Aires and the south of the country.

Vildoza did not miss a game this season. In the 27 games, the man from Tucumán averaged 7.2 points, 3.8 assists and 4 rebounds in 25 minutes.

Jefferson, for his part, the only game he did not play in this National League campaign was against Riachuelo on Monday and contributed 9.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in 21.3 minutes.
