This year’s Miami Open will feature wheelchair tennis for the first time in it Hard Rock Stadium. From March 26 to 28, some of the best Paralympic tennis players in the world will be part of this historic event.

Wheelchair tennis made its first appearance in the 1992 Barcelona Paralympic Games y He has been part of the four Grand Slams since 2007.

The Japanese Shingo Kunieda, four-time Paralympic gold medalist and winner of 28 major titles, will be the director of the tournament with Grand Slam champions such as the British Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid and the Argentine Gustavo Fernández.

The women’s tournament will also feature Diede De Groot, Maylee Phelps, Dana Mathewson and Angélica Bernal, from Colombia.
