From April 20 to 27, the 55th edition of Hyères – Toulon Provence Méditerranée French Olympic Week (SOF) will have a very special flavor since it will be the last major multi-series meeting for the world’s best Olympic sailors before the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

For more than 50 years, the Olympic sailing elite have met at the end of April in Hyères. This year will be no exception to the rule.

Two big highlights serve as support for this event: French Olympic Week which welcomes the “Qualified Nations” (nations qualified to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games) in the harbor of Hyères, with two representatives per nation and per series; And The Last Chance Regattawhich brings together all the nations not yet qualified for the Games and which will be able to obtain the last 39 places still in the running.

This exceptional configuration, including the presence of men’s and women’s single-handed dinghies, 49er, catamaran and mixed double dinghy, men’s and women’s kitefoil and windfoil, should allow the SOF to beat its record for nations present in Hyères. With nearly 1,000 athletes and 500 accompanying people from 90 countries from 5 continentsthe French Olympic Week, Toulon Provence Méditerranée, will welcome around twenty more nations than its annual averages in its historic format.
