Green Bay Packers Sign Veteran Kicker Greg Joseph to Bolster Special Teams

Veteran kicker Greg Joseph has signed with the Green Bay Packers after spending the last three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Packers announced the signing of Joseph on Thursday. His arrival will give competition to Anders Carlson, who struggled with his consistency during his rookie season last year.

Aged 29, Joseph made 24 of his 30 field goal attempts last campaign and 36 of his 38 converted after touchdown.

In his career, Joseph made 82.6% of his field goals (100 in 121) and 90.1% of his converts (146 in 162) in 67 games during the season. He notably made a 61-yard field goal, his longest in his career.

Joseph played 14 games with the Cleveland Browns in 2018 and two games with the Tennessee Titans in 2019. He was the Vikings’ starting kicker since 2021.

Carlson made 81.8 percent (27 of 33) of his field goal attempts last season and converted 34 of 39.
