German pilot Francesco Friedrich won the World Cup double bobsled for the sixth time in his career. The 33-year-old ruler of the ice trough won the final race in Lake Placid with brakeman Alexander Schüller ahead of compatriots Johannes Lochner and Adam Ammour, and the overall ranking in the final ranking of the series is the same. The Czechs did not start overseas, the best of them, Adam Dobeš, took 18th place overall in the WC.
