French Male Judo Selections for European Championships and Olympic Games Announced

As is the case for women, recent announcements of selection for the Olympic Games have also determined the choices concerning the European Championships and the World Championships. The holder of the Games, Luka Mkheidze, leaves the field open at the continental level to his dynamic runner-up, recent third in the Grand Slam of Tashkent in Uzbekistan, Romain Valadier-Picard. Remember that Luka Mkheidze is the defending champion in -60kg in Montpellier last June, while Romain Valadier-Picard was third. In -66kg, the Montpellier medalist Walide Khyar will be preserved for the Games, and it is the Parisian Daikii Bouba who wins the battle for number two ahead of Romaric Bouda, thanks to two good rankings at the Tokyo Grand Slams (5th) and from Baku (2nd). In -73kg, the Olympic selection Joan-Benjamin Gaba will seek experience and points everywhere before the summer meeting.
