France U20 Settles for Spectacular Draw Against Germany in Valencia

Against Germany U20, France settled for a spectacular draw (4-4) on Monday in Valencia (Spain). She was beaten on Friday by the same team (1-3) and was therefore unable to take revenge.

The Bleuets led 3-0 in the 56th minute thanks to Mohamed-Ali Cho, Kyliane Dong and an own goal, before conceding three times in a quarter of an hour. The Trojan Dong thought he would give his team victory in the 85th minute, but the Germans did not give up and equalized again in the 90th minute.

Landry Chauvin’s players, however, won this friendly match on penalties. “Today, we rectified the situation and produced 70 minutes of a very high level. Unfortunately, as soon as we turned, we lost our balance and our identity, which allowed the Germans to come back. It’s annoying because we must not lose this kind of meeting, so far in advance,” regrets the technician.
