France-Chile: three goals in thirty minutes, picked cold, the Blues reacted quickly

Clearly, the Blues are angry with their start of meetings in March. Three days after their catastrophic start to the match against Germany, which saw Florian Wirtz inflict the fastest goal in history conceded by the French team, Didier Deschamps’ men once again fell behind this Tuesday evening via Chile, to Marseille.

The teammates of Mike Maignan, who made his return to the French cage for this match, were nevertheless very numerous in the area when Chile launched their attack. But even the seven white jerseys camped in front of the AC Milan goalkeeper’s goal could not prevent Alexis Sanchez, Mauricio Isla and Marcelino Nunez from skillfully combining on the right, with one touch of the ball. The Chilean No. 7 concluded with a first-intention cross strike, which passed in front of the very passive Aurélien Tchouaméni and William Saliba.

An opening score which was followed by other bad news for the Blues: the exit due to injury of Jonathan Clauss, on his lawn, visibly affected in the muscle area. He was replaced by Jules Koundé. On an assist from Kylian Mbappé and with a little success, Youssouf Fofana then equalized (19th) with a left shot deflected by a defender and which deceived the experienced Claudio Bravo (40 years old). In the 26th minute, Kolo Muani gave the Blues the lead with a nice header.
