Wimbledon broadcast on beIN Sports until 2028

The renewal of the broadcast contract for the Wimbledon Tournament was one of the challenges of this year 2024. beIN Sports had held the rights since 2014 but the conclusion of the deal, which expired last summer, dragged on. Three months before the start of the competition (July 1-14), the Franco-Qatari channel announced on Tuesday that it had renewed its contract, exclusive in France, for the next five years, until 2028.

“Wimbledon is the centerpiece of our international tennis offering, which also includes the Billie Jean King Cup, the Davis Cup and the best of the WTA women’s circuit,” recalls, in the press release, Yousef Al-Obaidly, president of beIN Sports France and CEO of beIN Media Group.

Two channels will be devoted to broadcasting the London Grand Slam, including a MultiCourt. The Center Court show, scheduled in the morning and evening, will punctuate the fortnight of competition.
