The European Gymnastics Federation has withdrawn Israel from the 2025 European Gymnastics Championships. The executive has decided to cancel the hosting of the 2025 European Championships in Tel Aviv due to the current situation in Israel, European Gymnastics announced on Monday.
There has been war in the Gaza area since an attack on Israel by terrorists from Hamas and other extremist Palestinian organizations on October 7th. The efforts of the Israeli Gymnastics Association in recent years are appreciated and a new application for future European Championships is welcomed, it said.
European Gymnastics is now looking for a new host for the European Championships next year. Associations can apply to host the event until April 23, one day before the opening of the upcoming title fights in Rimini, Italy.
