Disappointing Outcome for Badminton Championships: Plérinais Maintain R2 Team, Rise of Team 3, and Certain Descents

Badminton

The play-off day marked the end of the championships, this Sunday, March 24, for the badists. For the Plérinais, the outcome is a maintenance of the R2 team, a rise of team 3 (from D2 to D1) and the certain descent of the four other departmental teams. “Our R3 should also be relegated, unless drafted,” notes Nicolas Villetelle.

For the president of Plerian badminton, it is necessarily a disappointment. “We were clearly not in divisions at our level. We don’t make excuses, it’s part of the sport to have firsts and lasts. However, we must not forget that we are presenting seven interclub teams. This requires a strong mobilization of players, many of whom have discovered the competition, in the lowest divisions. We hope they will come back next season for more victories. »

Great harvest for the Plérinaise School of Martial Arts, in the Coupe de France (katas, goshin, randori and shiai), this weekend, in Lorient. When the children brought home nine medals, the adults collected thirteen.

The regional men’s teams of the Plerin Tennis Club concluded their season this Sunday with two draws. For R2, it is synonymous with a descent to R3, with a final place of 7th/8. “Knowing that he was missing at least one pillar, due to injury or illness, at each meeting,” remarks Olivier Bardouil, head of the men’s teams. The R3, sixth, should logically hold its ground. Note that the DQCR teams (ex-D1) also completed their championship, with a maintenance and a descent.
