Backnang, March 22, 2024 (PresseBox) – An IT service provider and a judo club – how does that fit together? The first thought says: There are no overlaps. But conesprit GmbH from Backnang has now brought both together with a special sponsorship campaign.
“We see it as our social responsibility to support clubs,” says Katrin Douverne. She is an employee at conesprit GmbH, an SAP consulting and software company from Backnang. In order to fulfill this purpose, the IT company has recently entered into a sponsorship partnership with the judo club TSG Backnang.
The TSG Backnang was founded in 1963 and now consists of almost 400 members, including around 300 children and young people. The club’s sporting successes are impressive: the women’s team has already won the title of German champions five times, and the men’s team has also been in the first Bundesliga since 2019. The children’s and youth teams are also successful at state level and have already won trophies at numerous championships.
But the character of the club is not only characterized by its sporting successes, but also by the passion that is invested in the club. “The club does very valuable work with the children and young people, the trainers are extremely committed,” enthuses Katrin Douverne. In addition to sporting activities, TSG Backnang also has regular social activities, such as the traditional tent camp. conesprit GmbH would like to strengthen the club through sponsorship, for example to enable judoka to take part in tournaments.
Because in judo it’s not just the sporting successes that make a tournament. Rather, it is the ten values of judo that lie behind it: politeness, willingness to help, honesty, seriousness, respect, modesty, appreciation, courage and self-control. “We find ourselves in these values and it is important to us that these values are passed on to children and young people,” says Katrin Douverne.
