The pre-trial hearing following the summons issued by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office against Fabrizio Corona and the editor of Dillingernews. The reason? Discuss the hypotheses of defamation reported by Stephan El Sharaawy, Nicolò Casale e Nicola Zalewski in relation to their alleged (and untruthful) involvement in the investigation into betting in the world of football, spread through the Corona platform.
The case had been talked about for a long time, Corona had brought forward the hearings Tonali e Zaniolo, then also heard by the prosecutor. Zaniolo has completely disappeared from the case, admitting to having played on unauthorized online casino sites, while Tonali has instead settled with the federal prosecutor for 10 months of suspension and 8 of additional penalties for betting on football and on his own team. El Shaarawy, Casale and Zalewski, on the other hand, have never even remotely ended up in the justice system, neither sporting nor ordinary.
