Beloved High School Football Coach Shot and Killed: Arrest Made in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis Police Department has arrested and charged a man they say was responsible for shooting and killing a beloved high school football coach.

On Feburary 22, Adrien Goodrich, 52, was shot on Scott Street and pronounced dead at the scene.

Goodrich was a special education teacher at Bluff City High School and coached at Bellevue for four years.

Harold E. Harris has been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting.

He is facing charges for reckless homicide and for unlawful possession of a handgun.

According to MPD, Goodrich was reportedly caught in the crossfire of Harris and another man.

Harris is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
