Belgrano and Defensa y Justicia tied 1 to 1and were further away from the classification, in a match corresponding to the ninth date of Zone B of the League Cup, played on Thursday night in Córdoba.
Santiago Ramos Mingo put the visiting team ahead, 17 minutes into the first half, while Lucas Passerini -from a penalty kick- gave Belgrano equality about 28 minutes into the second half.
The tie, in reality, was of no use to anyone. since both are still outside the qualifying zone for the next round, when there are five dates left to define the play offs.
The two had just lost and needed to win to settle in the table, but they starred in a duel of low flightin which Belgrano barely showed a little more ambition.
However, in one of his first arrivals, Defensa opened the scoring at 17, after a corner from the left, Ramos Mingo won from above and scored 1 to 0. Belgrano, forced, he went to look for equality without much clarity and only achieved it midway through the second half, when Passerini converted a penalty into a goal in the 28th minute.
In the final stretch the Córdoba team – which barely won a game in the entire tournament – continued to insist but could do nothing to defeat Defensa, who settled for the point.
