The Under 14 athletes from Zone 3 are participating in the provincial finals of the 2024 Pampean Summer Sports Games, on the grounds of the “Horacio del Campo” complex in Toay. The delegation of 24 athletes is accompanied by teachers Matías Bruno, Josefina Soncini and Gonzalo Antiveo, under the coordination of the local Sports and Youth director, Sacha Elosegui.
The athletes from Zone 3 qualified in the Regional Instance, and 17 teenagers who attended the Castense holiday camps entered the provincial finals, and the rest correspond to the towns of Trenel, Arata, Caleufú, La Maruja, Pichi Huinca, Conhelo , Rucanelo, Monte Nievas and Metileo.
The more than 400 participants compete in the disciplines: swimming, beach volleyball and mixed soccer, in the conventional Under 14 category; while there will be swimming for people with disabilities (free), who will also have badminton as a “pilot test.”
“Young people enjoy this unforgettable experience, fostering their passion for sports,” said officials from the Castense commune.
Today, starting at 7 p.m., the winners of this traditional summer test, organized by the Undersecretariat of Sports, Recreation and Social Tourism of La Pampa, will be announced.
